What case fan?

OnionRings

Hey, looking for 8 good case fans for this build http://pcpartpicker.com/list/Pc8F8K need to be black, red, or something that matches red (clear maybe) LED optional, might just get an LED strip instead of relying on fan LED though. Needs to be decently quiet but still move decent air, 140mm, and preferably come with rubber mounting screws (if not then please post where I can buy those) heres what I have so far > http://pcpartpicker.com/product/4GsKHx/be-quiet-case-fan-bl047 seem like decent fans for 9$ a piece, thoughts?

PW2's are good.

Why do you have thermal paste in the list? The 212x already comes with decent paste.

Also, a Pure Rock would be a quieter option: http://pcpartpicker.com/product/cwPzK8/be-quiet-cpu-cooler-bk009

I don't really case about noise, I put thermal paste on because a couple reviewers said the standard paste is bleh.

The paste it comes with is fine. Even between average and the best paste, the difference is usually only 1-2c.

You mention in the OP that you wanted something quiet and now you don't care about noise?

For the case fans, sorry for the confusion, if the cpu cooler is a little noisey thats fine I just don't want 8 case fans all revving at like 2k rpm, 8 of those would be quite noisey, but thank you! :)

Noise is noise--not sure why you would care whether the noise is coming from the case fans or cpu cooler.

You're still not understanding me, 1 cpu cooler making a little bit of noise is not as bad as 8 case fans all making noise each, 8 >1 you see? That's what I'm saying, I'm not a huge noise guy anyway, as long as my computer doesn't sound like my GPU does when its at 70% fan speed.

So what I meant by that is no fans that are SUPER loud, if they make a little bit of audible noise I could care less, I usually have headphones on and a little personal fan cooling me anyway and that makes noise itself, not even counting my noisey family, so lets just forget about the " quiet " part of my OP :)

The 212x is louder than 8 PW2's. The system is only as quiet as the loudest component.

The Pure Rock is cheaper than the 212x and performs similarly anyway--not sure why you would go for the former.

I'll put some research into it, thanks.
