Best place to buy and store bitcoin?

So I'm thinking of buying about 2 Bitcoin and at the moment I'm just using Bitcoin core which stores the entire blockchain on my PC and as I don't have a backup of my system I don't really want to risk losing over $1000

Also storing the wallet on my PC can be a pain as it takes up a large amount of space. Any suggestions as to where I should purchase the Bitcoin and what online wallet to use?

Use an online wallet . Blockchain.info has a free wallet service . It has tons of features. You can enable 2fa ( along with several other security options ) and they have an an android app from where you can access your account easily .

As to where to buy them , it really depends on your area. I bought 40$ worth of bitcoin on a bitcoin ATM
