Thanks bro. Wanting to Building a pc like this for quite some time now. some say that to get a "console" it has to be more than a console. I think that a console killer is around the same price as a console.

Food for thought - since next-gen GPUs dropped recently, it is a good time to buy older but higher-performing parts (for CPU/GPU, NOT for stuff like PSU). Don't have any links as it depends on where you live but check this out to see what is possible to match (or better) a current-gen console -

I have a pc with specs very similar to that last build with the fx 8300.  I bought a gtx 950 2GB when dark souls 3 came out.  Just wondering if anyone has an opinion as to a better gpu pairing might be, as the 950 is nearly on  par with the 750ti

Overclock the 950.... If you get it near 1300MHz it will be on par with the 960! If you get it near 1500MHz, you will have better performance than the 960!

If you want to upgrade you can:

A)Buy a second 950 and do SLI

B)Buy a GTX 1060/RX 480/ GTX 970

Although it should be noted that your CPU will be a bottleneck in the aforementioned configurations...

P.S. The 950 offers considerably better performance than the 750 Ti, especially if overclocked!

hey guys is it possible to build a $300 or less gaming pc?

I would say yes, it definitely is.  What are your gaming goals?  It may come down to ebay, and an older processor.  Think scrapyard wars 1 :) Totally doable though.  on a super budgwt I usually go pre-built with a PSU and GPU upgrade with something like this as a starting point
