1000 years from now, when aliens prowl the wreckage of our lost civilization wondering what could have happened to wipe us all out, they will dig up this thing and at least be able to conclude we deserved it - whatever it was.

There already is one. It's call a oxygen tank.

Recycle oxygen is another thing. I heard some scuba tank can do this.
