The Nosulus Rift

The Nosulus Rift was thought to be a joke, turned out to be a real product, and some got their first hands on experience as this year's Gamescom 2016. Developed by Ubisoft, the Nosulus Rift is a wearable device just like a VR headset, instead you wear it on your nose, and it emits a scent from its built in cartridge based on the game your playing. Of all the scents out there in the world. At the demo, Ubisoft wanted to show off this amazing product, with a game called South Park: The Fractured But Whole, where the few chosen ones, finally got to know what a virtual fart smells like.

how about tricking it to get a permanent bacon smell while doing whatever you want ^ ^

otherwise it might be nice in games like witcher3 ... smelling those drowned people, dockworkers or the air while riding

or the smell of burning planes and kerosin in warthunder

Actually I'm on a reptile dudes Solar system on No Man's Sky and those lizard guys use scents a lot: pleasant smells when happy and they literally fart at you if you piss em off.

 

This might be an interesting addition to that....and so far only that. As a fan of medieval fantasy RPGs I really don't need my nose assaulted by realistic, setting appropriate smells like charred bones, stale animal sweat and manure. Also well...
