Posted August 24, 2016 I already have been seeing that it uses a google VPN when I am on wifi hotspots. (you see a key in by the battery icon) I have a nexus 6 on Project Fi under VPN in network I see a VPN listed as google Wi-Fi Assistant I think its a Project Fi thing. if you want to annoy me, then join my teamspeak server ts.benja.cc
 Posted August 24, 2016 So basically this routes all your traffic to Google's servers so they can spy on it. Sold as a 'feature' no less.

Sold as a 'feature' no less. yes but it provides a free security feature, if you are using McD's free WiFi someone could intercept all your traffic, and a VPN would make that data useless. I would say its better then using a free WiFi hotspot "naked", and you can always use your own VPN. if you want to annoy me, then join my teamspeak server ts.benja.cc
 Posted August 24, 2016 The fact that with this, your traffic while on any wifi will be encrypted is a nice bonus. this is one of the greatest thing that has happened to me recently, and it happened on this forum, those involved have my eternal gratitude http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/198850-update-alex-got-his-moto-g2-lets-get-a-moto-g-for-alexgoeshigh-unofficial/ :') i use to have the second best link in the world here, but it died ;_; its a 404 now but it will always be here
