It depends on your PSU but full replacement sets of sleeved cables are nice as they don't add extra cable length, as mentioned Cable Mods is a great option for both.

A cxm 750 and I like the cables to be red and black

Yeah. I've decided that I will be building my own cable set when I acquire all the materials and the tools to make that possible. Will be doing it with MDPC-X sleeving with all the bulk materials from Singularity Computers.
