North Korea launches its own streaming service "Manbang"

You can't watch Netflix in North Korea, but the Democratic People's Republic now has something, at least: Manbang -- a state-approved set-top box that streams live TV, on-demand video content and newspaper articles over the internet. It's a step forward for digital media delivery for North Korea, but it's still fairly limited. Manbang, which ironically translates to "everywhere," is only available to citizens in Pyongynag, Siniju and Sariwon.

Not much people over there has internet and those who do can watch documentaries about their leaders and other state run channels.

While the name is funny, news flash: other languages than English exists. It's not like they're catering to English-speaking viewers. Words exist that mean one thing in one language but a different thing in others. This is one of them.

Their leader did all he can for his people and knew manbang is kind of sexist. But there was nothing he can do, when the opposite of manbang was already taken by a Latino singer.

Probably the only media they can get there is documentaries on how Kim Jong-Il and Un are the best ever and how America and basically everyone that is not North Korea sucks and wants them dead. Oh and basketball matches from that one player that is friends with Kim Jong-Un.

Someone please just destroy those North Koreans. South Korea would have a much larger landmass to work upon for ecological and preservative technologies, to safeguard the northern forests and its current southern ones and also allow for more hospitals, medical research and military development facilities from companies like Samsung. Everyone in that place is willing to die for theyr leader, so no innocents there. Do you disagree they wouldnt want total war on the world? Ofc theyd lose in less than 1 minute, but thats just how it is..

Uh, I think it's a much more complex situation than that. The people aren't for the regime but are forced to be. I'm certain that any and all opposition has been crushed by now and no one dares to plan anything against the government in case someone rats them out. Keep in mind that one has to consider that your entire family will be punished if not executed if you do anything or even consider doing anything. When you see North Koreans getting interviewed you can see how visibly nervous they are that they slip up when answering any questions no matter how mundane. It has actually gotten worse after the change in leadership, not better.

So as much as the government needs to be removed, you can't just wipe out an entire population nor would it be ethical. The nuclear bombings in Japan were controversial enough with the large loss of civilian life despite it ultimately saving lives and also the fact that more than one bomb was dropped. Doing something similar in North Korea in this day and age would be unforgivable.

Also, they're backed by China and China sustains them although China is obviously getting a bit tired of their shit but they were very much co-creators of that mess, so it would look bad if they were to try dismantle it depending on how they would go about accomplishing that.

Yeah i knew that someone would bring the ethical part. Well, you see, on our current times i highly doubt ethics are even integrated in modern civilizations (humans care for themselves and they dont really care for the rest, speak for over 40% of the population where i live) as much as they are in North Korea.
