Case upgrade suggestions?

Hello,

I currently have quite an old cooler master case that i got when i first made my 2500k pc. No side panel :(

Looking for something now (on the cheap side) to fit everything i have in it but with a side panel.

 Needs to fit:

980ti g1 gaming

2 hdd

1 ssd

Hyper 212x cooler

Thats what my limitations are right now.

I would prefer budget options as after my recent upgrade to 980ti I don't have much cash left over.

Thanks in advance,

Alex

I would recommend a Fractal Design Define S w/Window. It is around 200$ in New Zealand though. A cheaper alternative would be the NZXT S340.

S340 is very nice to build in and looks great. I personally don't like the look of the 100R and the Enthoo Pro is also quite nice just by looking at it. Either way, they will all work.

  • Asus GTX 1060 Turbo
  • Kingston HyperX Savage 240GB SSD
  • Seagate 1TB NAS Grade HDD x2
  • Thermaltake NiC F3 Cooler
  • EVGA Supernova 750 G2 Power Supply
  • NZXT S340 Red/Black Case
  • Noctua NF-F12 Fan x2

Laptop Specs:

  • Intel Pentium N3700 CPU
  • 4GB Kingston RAM
  • Intel HD Graphics
  • Windows 10 Home

My red and black version is a matte finish and does not scratch. It gets the occasional white mark from me hitting it but it wipes off with your finger. Unless you go with the glossy black version which doesn't look as good IMO, you will be fine.

hm.... I also use my DVD drive from time to time. Is there any ways of getting one into the s340 ... even if only accessable if you remove the front cover ( i only use it like once a  few months.)

Not unless you mod it. I believe you can get external DVD drives for fairly cheap now. It might be worth looking into if you only use it every few months. If the S340 is under your budget, use the remaining $$$ to get an external drive.
