Watercooled ITX - Lian Li PCO5-SX

This build wasn't straight forward, there were a lot of question marks about what would fit..

Fortunately it was site's like this with project logs which helped me figure it out, so thanks! In turn I would like to contribute to this site as a resource which might help others.

The specification

  • Asus MAXIMUS VIII IMPACT Socket 1151
  • Intel Core I7-6700K Processor (4 GHz, 8 M Cache, LGA1151)
  • G.SKILL TridentZ Series F4-2800C14D-32GTZ 32GB DDR4 2800 MHz C 14 1.35 V Memory Kit
  • Nvidia Titan X Pascal
  • Corsair SF Series 600 Watt 80 PLUS Gold
  • SanDisk Ultra II SSD 480 GB Sata III 2.5-inch Internal SSD up to 550 MB/s
  • Crucial SSD ~500 GB

The case is a Lian Li PCO5-SX, here is an early photo before I got the Titan X and watercooled it. There is only room for a 2x120 radiator, and I wanted to cool and overclocked I7 6700k and overclocked Titan X.

In this image you will see the AIO cooler master pump is on upside down, the only way I could fit it with the RAM.

Also trying to overclocked the 980ti with the side case on was not great, no real movement of air - I had the glass panel off most of the time.

I added some RGB led strips with remote control for colour management..

I do have some build photos up to this point but thought I'd start from watercooling it...

The watercooling

  • EK-FC Titan X Pascal - Nickel
  • EK Water Blocks EK-XRES 100 DDC 3.2 PWM Elite (incl. pump)
  • EK-Cable Pump testing adapter
  • Koolance Radiator, 2x120mm 30-FPI Copper
  • 2 x Noctua NF-F12 IndustrialPPC 3000RPM PWM 120mm High Performance Fan
  • EK Water Blocks EK-FB ASUS M8I Monoblock - Nickel
  • Mayhems Ultra Pure H2O 5Ltr
  • Mayhems Fine Silver Kill Coil
  • 8 x EK Water Blocks EK-ACF Fitting 10/16mm - Nickel
  • 3m Primochill Primoflex Advanced Tubing 16/10 - Clear
  • Rockit 88 - Black Body - Black
  • Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra Thermal Paste

I imported the Rockit 88 delid tool, since I'm trying to make the most out of using one 2x120 radiator! I also imported the Koolance radiator for the 30 FPI, which there seem to be none of in the UK or possibly Europe..

It's going to go fast now....... images...

Very nicely done and welcome to the ITX Watcercooling club! (You know there really should be a club like this for people to share knowledge). Do you have any plans for going with PETG (or similar) hard tubing? I think if you rotated the pump 180o you could get some really clean hard tubing runs.

A few people have mentioned hard tubing, as it was my first loop - I wanted to keep it simple... but I'm coming round to the idea of hard tubing and turning the pump around might be a good idea :) thanks!
