Looking for new budget camera

HI all,

I'm going to South Africa beginning of next year and would to have a nice camera (instead of my S5). I have a max of €350, I do not plan to use it for 'zoom in' photos, but for landscape photos.

Any advice on one?

Cheers

For that price you might be able to squeeze in a Canon SL1/100D really great for video and photos.

Thanks all for the replies. I'll still have some time to decide and ofc have to save some money, and what do you think about second hand camera's?

Maybe look at the Canon 1300D, it's the successor to my 1200D which I'm happy with. It's bit over budget though at €390, but I don't think you'll find DSLRs much cheaper.

The Sony A5100 should be in that price range if I'm right. Perfect for travels since its small size, it doesnt have a viewfinder thought that might be a disadvantage.

Hi,

Thanks for all the input, I'm currently thinking about buying the Canon EOS M10. Though sometimes I read on reviews that you can get a better similar camera for a lower price, but they never mention what camera.

Do you think this camera is a good budget camera, comparing performance and price? Or am I better of with a SONY DSC-HX80?

Thanks.

the M10 or A5000 or something would be an option but obviously you need to budget for future lenses etc

if you go for a compact an RX100 would be a good option
