Location suggestions Lian Li PC-08

Sean-

Im planning to water cool my Lian Li PC-08, 1080s in SLI rig, im looking for suggestions on where to have the reservoir

Is it possible to mount it above the GPUs, either connected somehow from the fan on the left, or the radiator above? Maybe floor mounted at the end of the GPUs towards the corner of the case?

Its pretty tight on space so all ideas are welcome

Picture attached below

Thanks

You can mount it to a rad as there are res brackets that mounts with fan holes :P

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Vertically though? My Rad is above where it would need to go, see above pic

Don't think so...Hmmmm...I'm unsure :/

Some ghetto modding could make it work how ever no?

Im thinking maybe to floor mount it at the end of the GPUs towards the corner of the case, where the 2 tempered glass panels meet

You got space to mount it to the floor horizontal, so that might be an option.

Ether that, or mount it like they did in this promo picture (preferable with something other then double sided tape):

I speak my mind, sorry if thats a problem.

Yea im thinking that position but floor standing with a pump/reservoir combo, sitting on a foam base to stop vibrations, or something along them lines

This is my first liquid cooled build so im looking for any help/suggestions - im not rushing into anything yet, I have my GPU water blocks and Mobo/CPU mono block so far, but thats it

Where do you mean? The 240mm radiator at the front is at the top of the case?

Sorry, I was under the impression that you were going with a front-mounted radiator. Then my idea is bunk.

You are only going 240mm in roof and not also the 360mm in the front/back chamber?

Mount the res to the back of the radiator in the front.

I'm not sure there is enough room between the fans and the front glass.

Besides, it would have looked very stuffed.

I speak my mind, sorry if thats a problem.

Wait, wait, wait. How much are you planning on cooling with a 240 rad?

Gonna do the 360 in the back too, but ideally want the reservoir on show in the front, think its wasted out of sight at the back, aestheticaly

Only way i can think of is to have pump and reservoir combo floor standing at end of GPUs

I can remove the hard drive cages from the back and have the 2 SSDs i use on the floor under the GPUs at the front, making a load of space for cables, and the 360 radiator at the back

I really am just brainstorming right now, i have a brief idea of what i want to do, just looking for ideas and pointers as this is a first time for me, ive done a lot of research, but the more info i can gather the better

Hello, fellow PC-O8 owner. Theres some pictures of people laying the reservoir horizontally on the floor and it looks awesome. Maybe you can fit that? Or youd have to do the corner

The suggestion was not to mount it in the back chamber, but to mount it so it would sit between the fans to the back radiator and the glass.

It would show if off, if there is enough room.

But I agree on putting it more on display. With a big case like that, so can you do more then 1 as well.

1 last thing, put the top fans as intake, as that case has horrible air flow. The air will be sucked out by the back fan and the 3 fans on the back chamber, so its not an issue of hot air building up.

I speak my mind, sorry if thats a problem.
