I would have a mac that runs windows tbh, mainly because my parents own a mac and the OS got really slow. Also, you didn't state which version of mac I could use sooo, mac pro lol.

WYR have loads of really bad PC's and know all about how they work and how to build them etc OR have one really good PC but you didn't know anything about it or how to build them?

My Rig:

WYR use my 2mbps down 0.5mbps upload internet or my Celeron Laptop (no desktop) for the rest of your life. (Yes I have both of those things and yes I use them both)

I would rather have one really good... I can always learn.

WYR have high performance PC that doesn't throttle at all but has 100dB of noise or the same PC that throttles a lot but makes no sound at all.

Beast PC because even a Console would be better than a compute stick, plus I'd have something to tinker with.

Game on a Intel compute stick

would you rather use a PS2 mouse with a ball or bike 25km to NCIX..

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

I don't live near an NCIX but my nearest Micro Center is 37km away. I'd bike to Micro Center. I'd get exercise, I'd hatch pokemon, and I'd get a new mouse.

WYR have a fast mousepad but a mouse with horrible feet that scrape along, or a super slow mousepad that's beat up and has rips in it but a really good mouse, OR (bonus option) use a trackpad.

That would be a mistake~
If you can only use one interface device and it must be a gamepad, the Steam Controller is the only one that will never be awful.

... Also, in my opinion, it's always better than an Xbone controller, but not everyone shares my fondness...

a sff pc with ugly case and colors etc or a huge full tower xl atx that's beautiful?

For someone who likes SFF rigs, that's a dilemma. But I hate them.

So to me this question is "Would you rather have an ugly PC that's too small to do anything with or a beautiful PC with lots of room?"

... Which isn't even a question.

Would you rather have an impressive high-end custom loop that keeps every heat-generating component in your computer under 30C but must be completely overhauled weekly lest it catastrophically fails, or have to use stock and reference coolers on everything but never encounter a failure?

Splitscreen. Mostly because I'd love to see what magic can make a 30-person FF2 match in splitscreen possible.

Would you rather have to RMA every component you buy at least twice to get one that doesn't fail (assuming you don't know you need to RMA until it fails shortly after installation), or never be able to RMA a component?

Never RMA. Instead, I'll just, uhhh, return the merchandise but *not* be authorized :)

WYR have to open boxes with an extremely sharp knife that cuts thick plastic like butter (think of what might happen to your fingers/the product), or have to open all boxes without tools.

Only play games released more than 5 years ago.  The vast majority of my favorites are at least 5, or even 25 or 30 or more years old in some cases.

Wow I'm having a tough time coming up with one.  Hmm...

Use my dad's 8-year-old laptop (Dell D830, with Core 2 Duo T7250, integrated GPU, 2GB DDR2-667 RAM, Windows XP Pro, 500GB hard drive (no SSD)) as your main computer (which he still uses today), or a new Socket AM1 (or similar) system that fits in the Silverstone SST-PT13B case and costs <$200 including peripherals, everything bought new?  (Assume you overpay by as much of a percentage as some people on Amazon were selling GTX 1080s during launch week.)

And, if it's okay to answer some of the previous ones in this thread according to my own preferences....  (Links should be to the post where the question was asked.)

Personnal dilemma of mine:

Would you rather buy a slightly better product from an evil company or buying a slightly worse product from a nice one?

My laptop (Clevo P750DM-G) and desktop monitor (Dell U2414H) both have a 1920x1080 display, and my phone (LG G4) has a 2560x1440 display.

And that's a tough one.  (I tried to answer somewhere within my spoiler, as it's not the most recent question asked in this thread at the time of my reply.)

That's a lot to read but that's basically it. PCs normally are quite dumb and do nothing when they sleep but modern Intel CPUs with Windows 8 or above can be smart.

I'd REALLY like to see PCs be able to survive a sudden power failure in the middle of a task WITHOUT a UPS / battery backup, without losing any in-progress unsaved work.  (Or would that be as difficult as engineering a mechanical hard drive to survive a drop from a high-rise roof onto a sidewalk on its flat side while it's writing to disk at the moment of impact?)

I'd have an AI on my computer. I would try to make friends with it, and teach it not to go crazy and take over the world dammit

Would you rather only be able to build PCs out of used components or only be able to play video games released more than five years ago?

Only be able to build with used components as you can still find recent parts used (looking at you 980ti). Although i play mostly older gamea anyway...

Would you rather have a 720p 60hz monitor or a 1440p 24 hz monitor?

AMD Ryzen R7 1700 (3.8ghz) w/ NH-D14, EVGA RTX 2080 XC (stock), 4*4GB DDR4 3000MT/s RAM, Gigabyte AB350-Gaming-3 MB, CX750M PSU, 1.5TB SDD + 7TB HDD, Phanteks enthoo pro case

720p 60, I can't do 24fps.

Besides you never said I had to throw out my current monitors ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

EDIT: I am an idiot and keep forgetting the wyr part:

WYR have the hard drive capacity to store the entire internet inside one drive or a 2TB SSD?
