Did my broke break my headset?

I have no idea what is going on I have a Steelseries 9H and it works perfectly with no issues when I'm on the PC and nobody has been on it before me. Anyways my lil bro who is 5 gets on my PC to play games on a different account when i'm out of the house and recently everytime that i get on after him i get no sound. Now usually a simple restart fixes the issue but now that doesn't seem to work even after 3 restarts and an hour of waiting for it to maybe fix itself.. (i checked everything is plugged in as hard as it can and i have the latest engine) Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

update sound drivers and look at what he was doing on the PC.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Just kidding, any technical hardware damage around the earphones themselves? Have you tried checking for damage/cracks/etc.? If you find nothing, then I suspect it may be a bad cable, which seems to be a common problem with the headphone users I've experienced.

Headphones are not affect by restarting a computer, rather it'll most likely be an issue with your sound card or on-board audio. Have you tried plugging the headphones into the headphone jack on your phone to see if they are in working condition?
