Did Acer acknowledge that there was a problem?

They repaired and then replaced my computer several different times, but the problem was still there! It’s on my phone now, too. 3D games have bad aliasing and pop ins! Also, let me tell you. The most ANNOYING thing is to hear “It’s supposed to look like that. It’s normal aliasing” or “turn anti aliasing on” I swear, I feel like I’m cursed or something. The only positive thing about this is that I’ve found people with the same exact issue as me.

This has to be the most strange phenomenon. This issue for me started Early December of 2018, but it seems to occur randomly. Sadly once it starts, it’s impossible to get rid of. Let me bust a few facts real quick, though.

-Buying a new computer WON’T fix it. Every computer I got since it started has had the issue. Although, don’t let this trick you into thinking “Maybe it’s been there this whole time, and I’m just realizing it.” Trust me, it hasn’t. You’re just like the rest of us, it happened overnight. Don’t let ANYONE tell you it’s in your head.

-It seems to spread through electricity, somehow. For example, this occurred while I was living at my University. Even though it’s the summer and I’m home, it’s still here.

-Updating your graphics driver/rolling them back will NOT fix it. Don’t let anyone try to suggest that either. It’s just a waste of time. This issue is a lot more complex then we know and needs PROFESSIONAL attention if we wanna HOPE that it gets solved.

We need to gain the attention of people. So spread this forum on as many big tech youtubers as possible. It’s completely unfair that we pay hundreds to thousands of dollars for these devices to have to go through this, because to me, at least, it makes them unplayable!

Did you have sudden electricity turn off during this two weeks when your pc was on? 'On' i mean it was even pluged into socket? Even if your turn your pc off but it is still pluged into socket(and if electricity turns off suddenly at this time) i think it can still damage your PC.

I don't really remember. We don't really get any power cuts or blackouts. Only an occasional light dimming for a second if there's a big thunderstorm. But this is normal and none of that should cause a problem. If PCs are really so terribly sensitive then I'm just gonna give up on owning one.

Anyway i read a comment that even small but sudden electricity turn off can damage PC.

I have these issues and I’ve built brand new rigs that show the same symptoms.  I also hear the same bullshit from others,  gets old...  I streamed GeForce Now through my PCs and it looks just as shitty,  that’s why testing stadia will be different.  I won’t be running it through a PC,  maybe it will look normal,  that would put a few questions to rest while opening new questions to be asked..

For those who think that you have to buy a better CPU / GPU.

I Have a I9 9900K and a RTX 2080 and i have the same Problems.

Everything started 4 weeks ago.

I moved to a new house with a new PC and suddenly it was there.

The F*CKING jagged lines.

The funny thing is, in my old house with my old pc I did not have the problem.

But now I see it in both and on my mobile phone and my TV/XBOX.

I have the feeling that it is stuck like a mental disorder in the head.

Once you see it, it will never go away.

Sry for my English, I'm from Germany

Yes in the old house everything was fine.

I played there with my old PC for three years.

I have modded Skyrim, Fallout, The Witcher and many more Games and never had any problems.

And now? all is shit

No the first weeks everything was fine, or maybe I just did not realize it.

But then I started to install skyrim on the new pc to to modify it.

And then I noticed it.

At first I thought it was the mods or the ENB but it popped up in every game.

Every Game is flickering.

Every.

Here is a Video

Also they have no fix.

Ok boys, I am about to try the nuclear option.

I bought a new motherboard, ssd, CPU, and GPU. I am debating swapping out the ram as well. I intend to keep the same monitor, mouse, keyboard, power supply, and case.

This issue started for me back in 2013 in Starcraft 2 and Battlefield 3 & 4. At the time, I naively thought I would find a fix in a matter of weeks!!

I have swapped out every part in the rig since then except for the case and mouse, gone through multiple versions of windows, ssds, gpus, monitors, etc. However, the problem has thus far been confined to those games.

A couple months ago the problem started in the Witcher 3 when I downloaded the DLC expansions from GOG. I immediately noticed hideous alaising (only when there is motion on the screen), and blocky, jagged, flickering shadows. It was sudden and obvious. In the last two months, I have tried:

1. Rolling back nvidia drivers

2. Uninstalling the game and reinstalling it via Steam instead of GOG

3. Clean install of Windows

4. Clean install of windows on a different SSD

5. Installing Linux on a new SSD and running Witcher 3 from that (actually made the problem worse)

6. Trying an old GPU on Windows

7. Trying the old GPU on the new Linux install

I plan to replace the CPU, ssd, MOBO, GPU, and clean install Windows all at once. Do you guys think I should do the Ram too?

The most frustrating thing about this situation is the complete and total lack of progress that has been made. We don't even know if it is hardware or software related yet! Everyone is totally in the dark. The problem seems to spread by magic...it defies logic! I cant believe that so many smart people haven't figured it or yet! BUT... there IS a solution. The has to be. We first have tp understand what the problem is though. That is square one.

Yep - I definitely see the eye-cancer in the Witcher 3. It happened to me after I downloaded the DLC and expansions over GOG.

I've been playing mostly fallout 4 (All Ultra except Godrays&Shadow distance) before and after having this issue. There're some slight changes in Fallout 4 more than just having texture flickering/shimmering/pop in, poor shadow LOD draw distance after this issue has occurred.. Hope this helps even a little for the assumption of this issue. And I apologize if this all had already been discussed before here. I couldn't read all 85 pages yet.

1. Before this issue, the most frequent and inexplicable bug was black texture bug. The video refers to New Vegas but used to happened exactly the same way during my fallout 4 playing. It usually happened after staying in the settlement construction mode for hours and I didn't use any construction/settlement related mod. Little by little, more and more other objects also started changing into black like this, and then finally a bit later, ended up with CTD without no excpetional case.

But after the issue, this black texture problem doesn't happen anymore... at least so far.

2. Before the issue, NEVER had such texture glitch like this but it happened for the first time after getting the issue.

This place, this texture glitch is already a pretty typical glitch for fallout 4 players tho because it used to happen often to random players even without the texture flimmering/shadow LOD draw distance issue. But NEVER happened to me before. Now this kind of poor texture glitch is happening very often mostly with distant objects.

3. I really don't know if this is just my feeling, but after the issue everything in the game seems to have washed out color a bit.

4. I think the in-game general performance has also decreased since this issue. I used to play in all ultra setting except godrays(Medium) and shadow distance(High). But now I get slight frame rate drops in some regions that I didn't use to get with the same option before (even with inferior medium shadow distance)

I think these are additional problems for Fallout4 after the issue aside from texture flimmering/shadow problem. I already checked GTA5, The walking dead season3:New frontier and they got the same flimmering/draw distance issue. Yesterday, checked also Metro 2033 (2010) which looked like shit even with Nvidia control panel options and it got the same issue too. I wonder how 2D pixel art games (Terraria, Starbound etc...) would look like in this circumstance.

Yea same issues in Fallout 4 noticed it in that game first, 2d games look fine btw though you still can notice it very subtle, why does no one have a clue on how to fix this i seriously dont understand how some people can consider this normal.

I wonder is anyone in the position to ask some real experts about this like IT Researchers, Electronics specialists i mean afterall someone must have a clue, we are able to do all this awesome stuff with technology but cannot fix a simple graphics bug....

It's all been done many times before. Anything you can imagine has already been done...

Do you have game footage from before you had the problem? A side-by-side comparison would be very helpful to prove people we are not crazy.

Same after moving to this new city/house i noticed this issue after maybe a week. With each day it got worse for me. This shows that something was getting damaged slowly. There is no doubt that it's Electricity. We just have to figure out what specific issue in Electricity are we dealing with. One thing i don't know if whatever is wrong in Electricity if it's only in this house Or only this transformer Or only this feeder at grid station Or it's the whole city. I have a question for you. Was your previous house in the same city?

They really said that. I guess we should try Nvidia or Intel. Maybe they will understand that it's not only few people. In fact there are many facing this issue.

Only once, I saw a guy who solved this issue by getting new gpu but there're already lot of people who tried this way and got nothing. Thank you for reading and sorry for my English.

Maybe the guy who solved it by replacing gpu did not realise that after damaging the old gpu whatever was wrong in Electricity got fixed.

Using a ups will only be helpful if we first figure out what specific issue in Electricity we are dealing with. That will require advanced equipment (or atleast oscilloscope) and experience.

I'm afraid I don't... all just happened in a sudden. I don't know what to do anymore. Searching through lot of sties, I got surprised how many people could consider this normal saying "I don't see any problem.", "That looks normal.", "Those games originally have poor anti-aliasing so...", "Of course it's bad because it's in FHD". We all know obviously there's something fishy going on with our PC. It's just... too obvious to overlook! I can't play GTA5 anymore because it annoys my eyes too much now. And somehow with this issue it seems like my rtx 2060 can't have the same performance level as before... I'm gonna try gpu benchmark to see if there's performance decrease for real.

This is totally not normal. People who are saying that this is normal. They have no clue what we are dealing with here. I advise those people to visit someone's house near them especially with case 2 and see for themselves that this is in no way normal.

For people with ONLY low level of detail issues, what RAM configuration do you have? Did you buy your memory in a kit? Have you tried mixing and matching different RAM sticks (purchased individually, regardless of whether they are the same brand/model)? Some things are leading me to believe this issue might be due to RAM instability.

in my case it is not the memory I changed 6 pieces of memory and described what the game when you start using directx9 solved the problem of ladders

No, I lived in a completely different village.

My problem is that I can not distinguish what is normal and what is not.

I look so much at this flickering.

When will it finally stop?

What I noticed is that synonymous normal videos or graphics or pictures are edgy and pixelated.

What is that?
