We all know something gets changed or damaged or whatever.  But what causes it to do so? We need to find out the cause not effect.

For me: I don't take out the battery but reset cmos settings (basically reset the whole BIOS, even if everything is still at standard settings).

Change power plug at the same time (basically before resetting the BIOS).

If that doesn't work, also install a newer NVIDIA driver (express install).

I've installed a couple more games (Divinity Original Sin 2, Dayz, Monster Hunter World, GTA 5) 

 

The anti aliasing still seems fine, videos on youtube look fine too. I'll come back when something changes.

Ok, now this is strange:

I left my PC running for a few hours after taking this vid.

Suddenly graphics went back to breathtaking again.

Testet a few games (Skyrim, Risen 3, Thrones of Britannia). All was fine.

Then after starting "Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition" it went bonkers again...

 

EDIT:

I might be mistaken here. I tested "Thrones of Britannia" again afterwards. The lighting was worse.

I always start the same custom battle. Perhaps sun position and intensity always changes...

On top of the display issue it also seems that my card isnt performing as fast as it should. Passmark gives an average of about 8500 for RX580. Mine gets 6200. I disabled vsync and framerate limits. I also noticed that GTA V runs slower than it should. RX580 should handle that game at 60+ without any issue, but with 4xMSAA I get about 45.

It really feels like the card isnt getting enough power for some reason.

Before the issue started for me like 2 years ago, i got a few bluescreens.

i googled the bluescreen code and it was something like: failed to load graphics into vram quick enough, or something, i dont remember the exact phrasing...

It says in the description - it adds temporal AA. I don't think this is related to our problem.

This is an in-game issue, that even fully functional cards had a problem with, and it was corrected with this mod. Thats not what this thread is about.

In some cases, bios logo blur intensity changes with something. We need to find out what that thing is.

That's the default resolution being set to something that isn't your screen. It's somehow misinterpreting the previous saved resolution which is where the monitor identifier being reset would fix this. As this isn't cleared in a BIOS flash, driver update, or windows reinstall.

It's not resolution blur, it's compression artefacts. Like when you save a high quality photo in .jpg and you get blocks and washed out color.

I can bet that your opinion will change once you experience it yourself or see someone else experiencing it. Maybe there is someone in your country (close to you) who has case 2. All the symptoms of case 2 i mentioned before have already been described well enough by others but i tried to summarise them. But you have to see these symptoms yourself otherwise they might not look or sound real to you.

Cleared CMOS. Took out battery for 10 min. Reset BIOS settings. Clean iInstalled latest driver. No change.

I have had the issue myself but in reinstalling windows and swapping GPUs the problem has gone away

I think the change is supposed to be linked with the change in intensity of the same thing (bad electricity) that messed the PC up in the first place. There is something we can try, if possible try resetting cmos and drivers at a new place/city. After resetting cmos you can also add one more step, press and hold the power button for a minute while pc is unplugged but at a new place. Maybe at a friend's house who don't have these issues. I will try these things myself when i'll go back to my old house (where i had no issues) in few months. I'll go back to my old house just to verify if the components are damaged OR resetting cmos will have any affect or not. Maybe i won't have to reset cmos as it might recover itself.
