AMD powernow/intel speedstep and windows power plan

Do the windows power plans have any relationship with AMD powernow/intel speedstep?

if so does the balanced plan need powernow/speedstep?

I don't have an answer to that. Once I get my system back up and running again, I'll investigate that and I'll give you my findings them ;)

 

Using logic here: Performance = more performance at the cost of higher power consumption. Balanced = Between performance and power saving (This is what I use all the time). And lastly, Power Saving = lower performance in exchange for lower power consumption.

 

These settings can also be found in the Power4G Power Plan (assuming you have it already)
