It spilts so you have one that is 4 pins with the RPM line and the others as 3 pin but still PWM just without a RPM line so the motherboard only reads one of the fan's RPM's within that group.

so if i put 2 pwm fans on a splitter will the rpms still read correct? will it show 2 fans? or will i have to control them as one?

what is one fan is slightly faster? then what will it show?

Whichever of the fans is controlling the speed. It would be the one plugged into the half of the splitter with all 4 pins instead of just 3.

what do you mean by that because the splitter is a 4 pin (pwm) and it splits into two 4 pins.

If the fans are the same, it is no problem since they will behave the same!

If the fans are different, they will most probably run at different speeds.
