Case Choices...

Hello guys,

Picking out a tower is quite hard apparently, mainly looking at these currently:

Mainly i'd like decent access, dust filters, possibly a radiator mount, no/up to 1 5.25" bay, at least 2 2.5" mounts, needs to be full ATX compatible. window would be nice, but prefer foam padding for silence. Also some clearance for gpus (got a lengthy one). Mid tower maybe a full tower, but doubt i have clearance for that at the moment.

Currently it's to house FX6300/Asrock extreme 4 970 (fan control is damn horrid on this sadly)/r9 fury nitro and a full sized PSU. until Zen comes out and prices hopefully stop coming from intel's behind.

Master case looks cool as well however i'd rather have something clean looking like nzxt or fractal design...

~100£

Define S for sure. Either with or without side panel. Both the Define S and Define R5 are basically the same noise using either side panel.

Hmm, i was leaning towards H440. I'm open to other suggestions as well. How about CM master case 5?

I too was in the same situation you are now. At the end I chose NZXT H440 Black&Red. I chose that case for the following reasons:

 - Silenced (foam padding all around the case)

 - Aesthetics (It is one beautiful case. Only NZXT Manta beats it's looks :) )

 - PSU compartment (no more looking at that ugly PSU and bunch of wires)

 - Clean look (especially front of the case. Who needs 3.5 expansions at the front? )

 - Built in fan hub

 - Built in lighting (NZHT logo and IO section at the back)

It also goes well with my Black&Red gaming setup.

@ZmesleR it seems to have filters all around? i do really prefer aesthetics of H440. Genuinely dont care or want 5.25" bays, haven't used them since 2002... They just sit there...

Seems like a superior option to define S/R5? or am I missing something?

@Un4tural It has front filter for fron 3x120mm fans (I replaced them with 2 x 140mm from vortex mainly to optimise the loudness). It also has PSU filter at the bottom.

'Define S/R5' seems a bit smaller case than H440. It also is rather ugly in my opinion.

I'll go with H440 i guess, seems like a nice choice, with better looks and more expandability than define in my eyes.

Hopefully wont regret not dropping extra 30quid for the Phanteks.
