Which keyboard !?

reystar

I am looking to replace my old, loud Razer Blackwidow. I am between the Corsair K70 (red or brown) and the K70 Rapidfire..which one do you recommend guys? I tested the Logitech Orion that a friend has and daymn, i dont know if i have to get used to it, but when i was typing, the keys would register twice!

So have you decided that you want a K70? the only difference between the different ones are the switches so if you're confused on which one to pick i can recommend this video

Otherwise the choices you mentioned are the exact same keyboard (only small differences)

Nope, when i was typing fast, it would register twice, i was thinking that it might be because of the small attenuation point....i would press them fast so it registered twice...

You want a more quiet keyboard...are you sure you like the linear switches of reds? Browns are basically useless if you're wanting something you can feel as for the first time ever, I typed on a brown keyboard yesterday and oh boy was I underwhelmed...I usually type on blues or blacks when I'm travelling and the browns may as well have been slightly rough reds...like badly made ones :P

If you think you were double tapping the keys then maybe but it could be just a faulty keyboard, you could have tried to get it exchanged for a new one?

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

the keyboard is not mine to exchange...my friend doesnt complain about it.

Also red switches sounded far more quiet than my blackwidow, but i am still between red and rapidfire mostly, browns also considered

They are more quiet but the most important thing about a mechanical keyboard is whether you like the feeling of the keyswitch. Having a quieter switch may be nice and all but if you don't like the feeling of a linear switch then don't bother as although it's more quiet, you won't enjoy using it as much.
