It was a dedicated card for physx calculations, and is what you needed for physx before nvidia bought out the company and implemented that tech into their gpus. Has virtually 0 use today other than being neat.

So I got a PC from a neighbor for free, and I don't know what this card is used for? All I can find are ebay listings.

It's an ageia card,  this was before ageia was bought by an Nvidia. It helps with PhysX applications.

It's an ancient artifact from before Nvidia bought Ageia. Pretty cool items but are useless today. stick it on a wall or something!
