Eh. From what review I could find of the 1700W unit, I'd put it tier 3/4 probably.

Damn..

I thought that psu would of been better than my Cougar.

@STRMfrmXMN Got any dirt on this?

2810376_1_1419230990.jpg

It's a hard one. I need someone to identify OEM just out of this pic and the name (Energy Optimus Mach III). Screams gutless wonder, but I'd rather be sure.

Edit: Pretty sure it's a gutless wonder. No 80+, no PFC, marketed as 500W but rated for 435W, yeah this is a bomb.

Hey all to the peoples tagging me and sending me PMs asking for help -

I wish I could help at all times but I'm ludicrously busy all the time doing work, school, sleep and somehow eating (and often staying up so late doing schoolwork that I end up getting hungry again) that I just can't address all concerns. Thanks for understandings guys as I type this on my phone which always seems to have autocorrect problems on this forum

I find it kind of sad/funny that people will tag you in a thread you have already replied to.

It took me some time to find out that "Powerman" is an inwin brand and the OEM of powerman for that particular PSU was inwin. No name brands are not fun researching on. I through out half a dozen no name PSUs because it was just to hard finding the OEM and I wasn't going to use them or sell them without knowing the OEM.

Add fsp hydro x to tier 2.

Also, the pure power l8 magically jumped up in tiers. :o

I thought we'd added it already, weird. IIRC it is T2.

The pure power L8 used to be at 2 different Tiers, but we looked into it and updated it.

The Coolermaster B2 should be upgraded to be a Tier 6, it is a CWT CPM just like the Corsair VS.

Thermaltake Blue EVO 2.0 and LEPA G600 MAS should be added to the tier and as tier 3, they are PUQ-G just like the tier 3 Thermaltake London.

The Deepcool DQ ST I have asked for before, it should be added and I realised that I messed up and thought it was a PUQ-G when it is a CWT GPS, but that should also be a tier 3 since the Thermaltake DPS Gold is a tier 3.

Also does anyone have an opinion on the CWT GPK as seen in the Antec NEO ECO NE550M, some one is asking about it in this thread?

what do you guys think, where would seasonic eco-430 fit in the tier list any idea??

here is the link to the psu on their official website .....

https://seasonic.com/product/eco-430/

It is a tier 3.

The lower wattage XFX TS bronze is based on the same platform (Seasonic ST)

Is my current PSU necessary for my build? I bought it to replace my CX750m. I am keeping it but I was wondering if it was the right move to upgrade to this PSU (SuperNova G2 750.)

The EVGA G2 are very good, you can basically throw anything at it and it will be fine, 2 way SLI or crossfire will also be fine.

It's only like 2 of the most expensive PSUs...that's nothing you know...

The Coolermaster Masterwatt Maker 1200 is the most expensive PSU at the PC part store I buy stuff from, $80 more expensive than the Corsair AX1500i.

I want the Master Watt maker because it looks really nice (I know it is a couple hundred dollars over priced and is not great when compared with the price, that does not matter, looking like a balla does)

That said you had 2 R9 290x's, a 1,000W PSU is like kind of (not really) justified then.
