PSU Tier List [OLD]

Go to solution Solved by Spotty,

This is a legacy list. It is no longer being updated.

The new PSU Tier List can be found here:

Add fsp hydro x to tier 2.

Also, the pure power l8 magically jumped up in tiers. :o

Hey all to the peoples tagging me and sending me PMs asking for help -

I wish I could help at all times but I'm ludicrously busy all the time doing work, school, sleep and somehow eating (and often staying up so late doing schoolwork that I end up getting hungry again) that I just can't address all concerns. Thanks for understandings guys as I type this on my phone which always seems to have autocorrect problems on this forum

Hehe, I should do these investigations on my own :P

But I actually wanted to tag quan and forgot the numbers on his username

I thought we'd added it already, weird. IIRC it is T2.

The pure power L8 used to be at 2 different Tiers, but we looked into it and updated it.

The Coolermaster B2 should be upgraded to be a Tier 6, it is a CWT CPM just like the Corsair VS.

Thermaltake Blue EVO 2.0 and LEPA G600 MAS should be added to the tier and as tier 3, they are PUQ-G just like the tier 3 Thermaltake London.

The Deepcool DQ ST I have asked for before, it should be added and I realised that I messed up and thought it was a PUQ-G when it is a CWT GPS, but that should also be a tier 3 since the Thermaltake DPS Gold is a tier 3.

Also does anyone have an opinion on the CWT GPK as seen in the Antec NEO ECO NE550M, some one is asking about it in this thread?

It is a tier 3.

The lower wattage XFX TS bronze is based on the same platform (Seasonic ST)

The EVGA G2 are very good, you can basically throw anything at it and it will be fine, 2 way SLI or crossfire will also be fine.

With in reason. If you are not this idiot, you will probably be fine. If you are this idiot, please stay away from expensive hardware and ship it to me instead.

The Coolermaster Masterwatt Maker 1200 is the most expensive PSU at the PC part store I buy stuff from, $80 more expensive than the Corsair AX1500i.

I want the Master Watt maker because it looks really nice (I know it is a couple hundred dollars over priced and is not great when compared with the price, that does not matter, looking like a balla does)

That said you had 2 R9 290x's, a 1,000W PSU is like kind of (not really) justified then.

Oh I'm sorry, is overclocking them to 1200/1300mhz and my 5820K 4.5Ghz not hungry enough?

For some reason I thought you had Windforce R9 290x's.

Anyway, couldn't the extra heat from the card and that more power was travelling through the VRMs because of the OC could have been what killed the card?
