HDMI Hub and Streaming Solution

My girlfriend and I just moved in to a new apartment together, so it's time to revamp the tech to fit our new needs. We now have a new TV in the living room along with cable box, my Chromecast, and her PS3. Unfortunately, our TV only has 2 HDMI inputs. To make matters worse, I would like to find a way to connect my gaming PC to the TV for casual couch gaming and local multiplayer. For the input problem, I need to get some sort of HDMI hub so that I don't have to physically change which devices are plugged in. I would also like to keep things simple with just one remote to control everything, so a hub that can automatically detect inputs well or be programmed to a universal remote would be ideal. For my PC, there is already a 25ft ethernet cord that runs from behind the TV to my PC because of the placement of the cable outlet in the apartment so I've been considering a Steam Link which would also be connected over ethernet, or just running a 25ft HDMI cord directly from my PC to the TV along with some sort of USB extension along the same route as the existing ethernet cord.

My solution to this was getting a receiver (in my case a Pioneer VSX series) and pairing that with a Logitech Harmony Companion. The Pioneer receiver has 5 or 6 HDMI inputs and 1 output to the TV and the Harmony remote can control everything without problems. Also a nice starting point if you ever want a decent surround sound set.
