Is this EOS 60D Battery Fake

I bought a secondhand 60D from a canon retailer. I suspect the battery is FAKE. Is it actually fake?

Contact canon support and see if they can verify the battery, or point you in the right direction to verify it.

who cares? I use 3rd party batteries in all my cameras

Which brand would you consider reliable for third party Canon DSLR batteries?

I use DSTE batteries, but also plenty of others are okay

This.  There's nothing wrong with using third party batteries, just be careful with them.  Buy ones from "brands" that people have used and posted reviews.

If youre worried about it. Canon put a battery comparison for their lp e6 ( for fakes that look authentic) on their site a few years ago. Also go with third party. Lpe6's are expensive.
