13" MacBook Pro vs. 15" MacBook Pro

I am having a bit of a dilemma between the MacBook Pro. I can't decide between the 13" or 15". Price isn't a big factor here either. I know the 15" is a lot more powerful, but I don't like the form factor. I'll be doing mild video editing, and photo shop. I will be taking my Mac to school as well. The 13" is only a dual core i5, and only has 8GB of RAM, would that be enough for what i'll be doing? I also want to do some light gaming ( I know Macs aren't the best for gaming ). The 15" GPU would be a big help with gaming. I' mot exactly sure which one to go with, their both amazing machines, but which one is better?

15 inch all the way. I prefer the 17 inch but 13 is way to small

Can be upgraded to 16gb ram, but that's not really necessary unless your doing HEAVY Photoshop. Photoshop will be slower. Final Cut Pro will be totally fine. And games really depends on what kind of games you play. Only the top of the line 15in MBP have the M370X in it, and that starts at a whopping $2500 USD. Also take note that it's extremely close to the refresh of the Macbook Pro line in the next few months. Considering you already have a Macbook Air, just wait it out for a month or two because you'll be stuck with a 3 gen old tech wise machine for a while. Unless you really can't wait.

I would wait. Now is not the time to buy any macbook air or pro, as they are 1-2 years out-of-date.

I do plan on waiting for the 2016 refresh. BTW the price tag isn't a big deal of the top of the line 15". I have saved up for 4 years, plus I get a student discount with a free pair of beats. I plan on selling the beats, and my current Mac, and use the money towards the new Mac.

In that case, like everyone said go 15inch. I use one concurrently with my T560 and P650RG and it's honestly not that heavy. Gonna give it off soon as my OSX needs and obligations are to be finished soon, but it's quite a solid laptop, despite the hate towards it. The bigger screen and GPU is very worth it because on the OSX side, Apple does a good job switching between the iGPU and the discrete one.

On the size part go have a look, for me the 13" is just perfect, easy to carry around and can be used everywhere. Anyhow good luck figuring it out :D
