Multiple monitor problems

OBielegend

I have a 1080p monitor and a hd ready Tv.

I also have crossfire hd 7870's.

Both of my displays use hdmi and I want to run one hdmi cable from each card to the separate displays.

But only my master gpu is outputting a signal.

Is there a way around this or should I just go buy a dvi to hdmi cable and run it off one card?

Yes Catalyst control shows it, but it isn't running because I'm on the desktop

Yeah it goes into like power saving, the fan still spins at 20% but the core clock and memory clock are at 0mhz

Only one GPU will output a signal, if SLI is anything to go by. So yeah, you need a DVI connection.

Yes, when running GPUs in tandem (SLI or Crossfire) only one card will be able to output to displays. If you want to run monitors off both cards you will need to disable Crossfire.
