Turned off everything including the second monitor.. Funny the GL number went down.. But the CPU number jumped

Funny thing, I can run 4.3 GHz on my 3700X at 1.325v all day long but trying to run it at 4.35 GHz doesn't seem doable even at 1.4v. I guess that's the nature of the silicon lottery.

Also I tightened up my RAM timings (CL16-17-17-34 @ 3600MHz, calculated with Ryzen DRAM Calculator)

this is mine. very low, i think it is because i mixed 16gb ones and 8gb ones. planning to replace them with 12* samsung 2r*4 2133 16GB. about 38 usd each

I just recently upgraded to a Xeon E5 1680 V2 on lga2011, this was coming from a Xeon X5675 on lga1366. Quite a big jump in performance I must say. However I've been waiting for a bit of time to dial in a decent overclock to make something worthwhile of it. 

 

As x79 is fairly power hungry and is happy to be on a voltage of up to 1.52V, I knew I had a good amount of headroom to play around with. Considering this is my daily driver, I settled on 4.4GHz which was stable at 1.365V respectably. Attached is a screenshot of my Cinebench R20 results, more than 3 times better than when I had my X5675 at 4.4GHz also.

I think I'll leave my i7 4770's BCLK at 105. Seems to be working well:

 

That lowest 4770 score BTW is stock on a Gigabyte Z87X D3H, with dual channel DDR3 1866. The score above it is on this board (also stock) with single channel DDR3 1866 (same RAM).

Kind of mirrors my 4790K on a H97 HD3 vs this Sabertooth MKII. That also ran slower on the Gigabyte board.
