My ageing Dual E5-2690 setup all at stock speeds obviously, both under H115i Pro's so they can run at max turbo 24/7.
Very happy with the performance of a 6 year old stock speed workstation.

Ryzen 2700X @ stock and at 4.2 Ghz, seems to pretty much run at 4.15 Ghz most of the time because of my cooling system.

Oof.  That doesn't seem right.  If you're running PBO then I would have something like HWiNFO open during the run to see what the speed does during the run.  It doesn't seem like you're holding a speed close to what you think you are.

Here is my run at 4.2GHz and that's through the entire run.

yeah, i keep investigating the reason, it was after gigabyte released the 30 series and up bios, i have the 41 now and i notices that it draws less power than before, i will fix it at a point

I need to play with my memory OC more (running at 3000MHz. Haven't tuned timings at all), have squeezed as much as I can out of my CPU. Still not horrible.

I have new ram coming in and I have a golden 1600, so I'm gonna try to break 1400. You think it'll be possible? Not sure what memory IC it will be since it's 3000 16-18-18-18, but I definitely will be tightening those up and setting it to 3200.

I'm positive that I have a decent chip, it can do 4ghz 1.325v prime stable, I am nearly positive that I can do 4.1 at 1.4v or less. I'll post results in the thread once the new ram comes in and I work with it.

Not a daily driver OC.  I'm hoping I'm wrong though.

I'm thinking the same.  That is what my daily driver settings score, so naturally that is the number I have in the back of my head as this info is coming out.  Either way, it's awesome to have AMD's top products back in the race.
