Don't really need AIDA 64 open as well. Just Cinebench and CPU-Z.

lol i haven't heard of pencil mod in 10 years. Good to see some OG overclocking techniques. I used that on my q6600 back in the days! xD

Higher score, but my previous OC was 5.0 with NO avx offsets. Not sure if I'll keep as new daily. I'll attempt 5.2ghz now

You should have had them replace that cable with a fiber one.  xD

This is a Gigabyte Auros Gaming 7 z370 gaming motherboard with a i7-8700K CPU with an EK monoblock and an EK XE360 radiator with furious vardar fans. Nothing else is currently on the radiator, as I haven't included my GPU in the loop (yet). The overclock is the default 5.0 GHz profile that is in the motherboard BIOS.

Single CPU score evaluated to 218, MP ratio 7.58.

This one is not for the list, but wanted to give an update for those interested.

I wanted to see if I could get a nice safe OC for daily use on these chips and 4GHz appears to always need 1.4+V.

However when I turned things down a tad I got 3.9GHz using only 1.325V. I also got the 667MHz FBDDR2 to 820MHz using 5-5-5-18 timings.
