Ermmmm...kinda was an "OEM" chip :P

I mean at a price of 70-100 quid cheaper than a "retail" 5820K, it was a no brainer...at least to meh

Oh :D If it is a J or L batch it should be pretty good, especially if it is a late 2015-2016 CPU...

My guess is that it is probably an early 2015- late 2014 CPU... Those weren't the best.

Yeah, wouldn't be surprised :P

Ah well, I got my monies worth of performance so I shouldn't really complain, I mean I bought this chip for more or less the same price of an i5 6600K...same price and basically double the cinebench (multithreaded) score...why am I complaining again?

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

pic of system outside then :P

The sun is still out, but it's getting cool outside already.  It's supposed to get down -6.1c / 21f  tonight.  O.o  I went ahead and set everything up now while it's light out and for some pics for you.  Water temps match outside ambient temp so I'm off to a good start.

I need to finish the loop on it, but you better believe I will once I do.  As much as it helps this 7700k, I could only imagine that it would be awesome on the 5960x.

Nice work man.  Hell of a Multi score.  Can't say that I'm digging the single core score.
