Using this old CPU, 425MHz (1700MHz effective) : http://valid.x86.fr/chgnjh :)
Keep in mind that min. multi on this is x12, so 425MHz is hard enough (without melting my Air cooling at the base :D).

yes, if you ran the command rate at 1T that would make a huge difference.

Thanks for the tip! Got a bit of a boost from doing that. Multicore result went up to 1077. :)

Once again, the CPU vcore isn't reading correctly. It should be around 1.30v.

try increasing the cache frequency next. ideally you want it 1:1 with the core frequency, so in your case 4.8ghz, but you need to take it up in small steps.

Should I start at stock clocks or at the 4.8? Im relatively new to all of this so any info would help. :)

As you increase cache, you'll reach a point where you'll need to dial in more Vcore. Raise cache as close to 4.8 as you can while maintaining a Vcore that you are comfortable with.  Cache will increase your memory performance as well particularly with writes and copy.

yes, the cache and cpu voltage are linked on skylake chips i think, so you can normally get it pretty close while maintaining the speed speed and voltage.

But since you mentioned it, I did do a marginally better score (and with lower Vcore), I just forgot to post it :P

Slow your roll little fella.

For clarification, I can't use Windows 7 and you have a higher binned B-Die. It's really not a matter of talent.  xD  As far as Windows 7, it'll work with my board, but only with 6th gen chips.

I thought we were doing this the other night per your challenge.  In street racing they'd have called your submission yesterday nothing, but a ricer fly by.   xD

Oh well, I'll do round two as well.  That is, as soon as my order shows up.  I guess we'll see if it's a matter of talent or binning then.  :P

I know, but the stuff I have now is too slow.  The new sticks will only be for benchmarking.

Remember, we're running about the same results while I'm using the lower binned stuff.  End the end, my memory doesn't have to be as fast as his is on his 2-dimm board.  It just has to be faster than what it currently is.  :D

Idk it's look like they are just having a new version of r15 which is annoying because idk how to tell the difference yet. It supports ryzen as well as supporting Intels hyper threading better too. Even i7 and i3 should get higher scores on this new version.
