Nope, that PSU is a POS, none of my PSU, not even the ones with really good 5V rails and a strong enough 12V rail to run my Riva TNT2+multiple HDD are enough. My Riva TNT2 is overheated by them as well.

You an idiot.....no PSU will cause increase or decrease in temps for hardware....Clean your shit and stop spewing this nonsense. Its every other day if not every day your about your hardware failing or having issues for the most idiotic reasons...Maybe your the issue with it all...

i dont think so, its clearly not a psu problem lol. a psu does not make a gpu overheat.

Explain then how reducing the PSU's load prevents the GPU from overheating, and the fact that my CX850M is the only one that can even run my Pentium III rig at stock without the GPU overheating. I've gone through the process of elimination, and the only answer left is that one of the rails isn't providing enough power.

I could video the entire process of elimination that I followed if that helps. Just because I've got a problem that is pretty much unheard of, doesn't mean that it isn't an actual problem.

I don't know. All I know is that with the configuration kept the same and everything at stock, my 400W NAS PSU (strong 5V rail), 450W Thermaltake case PSU (strong 5V rail)and Corsair VS650 have the GPU overheating unless I remove either one of the Pentium III, while my CX850M has no problems with the GPU overheating.

I'll put it this way, never buy or even recommend Corsair PSU. My CX850M is utter garbage.

Well corsair don't even make unit so you might need to boycott some other companies as well :P

Not so common chip in the house but so far I like it, E2210 @ 1.375v 3.7Ghz anything higher wants 1.45v plus so will need some better cooling for this chip to reach 4Ghz :)  http://valid.x86.fr/iau05h

Just posted this for fun. I don't see myself going VR for at least another 3 years. IMO it wont be nearly ready till about then even if then. Meaning that the bumps in the road will be a lot smoother around then than it will be this year and the next. Me personally I don't want to spend a good chunk of change every 6-12 months on say a new 980ti , then the headset , then a new board and cpu, etc etc etc...I rather build 1 and have it last 3-5 years then upgrade. Just my opinion on the VR. GAME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gonna cuffem and stuffem. QUE QUE QUE. I love it I love it. :P

That score seems quite low for an Ivybridge i7 at 4.6GHz. If that's the best yours can do, your computer is about as messed up as mine with its low scoring 4790K.

Agreed. I run circles around that with i5s.

Hello,

At the moment we can inform you the item needs to be repaired and our repair team fear your power supply maybe too strong as the component that needs to be changed has burnt out which apparently should not happen to this particular chip. Item will be tested following repair using your hardware before returning.

Regards

Sounded like the issue you had :P

Something in the PSU doesn't like running with older systems.......considering only my CX850M runs my ULR stock without GPU lock ups, then has coil whine with the computer under a light load.
