If I wasn't using the stock cooler, I'd probably get my 3700X's clock speeds pretty damn close to that since it was manufactured less than 8 months ago.

nice! yeah, the silicon has gotten pretty good over time. My R20 multicore score is only ~100 points behind the 5900X on cpumonkey, but I'm not touching that single-threaded score anytime soon because of the better cache.

I think the NH-D15 is actually holding me back from going further. The other thing is I have mostly everything set to auto in the bios. I tried 4.625Ghz and it was stable until the cpu pulled more than 175W under stress and then the system would hard reset. There are options to unlock more power in bios, so I might give it another go.

Not I. The multi-core benches I'm seeing are lower than I had anticipated. Going to wait this one out a few months, see how the bios updates improve the performance of these chips.

Well I hope I covered what was required except for Cinebench R15. I finally installed my i9-10980XE after upgrading from my i7-9800X. I set up the XMP profiles to DDR4-3200 and re-adjusted the fan curves back to what I had them at before due to a CPU swap. The only problem is I have the CPU temps go to 99...yikes. I'll post the first picture of when I used my i7-9800X and the next picture will be the 10980XE.

EDIT: Just did Cinebench R15 this morning for those that were wondering as well.

Damn! 4.7GHz @ 1.256v? That's insane! Do you think you got a golden sample, or is Zen 3 just a great overclocker?

Zen3 just over clocks really well. This one isn't the best. I think the higher chips boost over 5ghz to get higher single thread scores.

Bought it on ebay on 30oct thought it was a scam tbh.

Tracking was provided and it was shipped out next day. Then on Monday when I wake up I get a notification from dpd saying it would arrive in and hour.

Parcel arrived. Not well packaged, it was a real life 5600x. So I benched it XD
