LOL. Win7 master race.

Broke your record in Windows 7 ;) Although we're at the same clock now.  Goes to show that in a rendering environment, right now OS doesn't matter.

Yes I think your ram speed could help as well :D have you tried lowering the timings? I think ryzen can run pretty tight primary timings.

Rig Specs:

AMD Threadripper 5990WX@4.8Ghz

Asrock OC Formula 7970XTX Quadfire

G.Skill Ripheartout X OC 7000Mhz C28 DDR5 4X16GB

It's corsair vengeance LPX, and those are the timings and speed for them. Gets unstable if I change them at 3200mhz. It's cheap, low quality ram that I will be replacing soon. Looking into c11 dominator.

My kit is rated at 3866 c19 but that doesn't stop you running it tighter faster. In my case really slow and tight :P

E5-1650v2, top score was 1030 with fresh windows install. On highest turbo top score now is 997. But going to show current settings so all that irrelevant :D.

Specs are in my signature.

Try closing all other windows and stop other running background programs for a higher score.

Just remember, my 5960x is still faster than your Ryzen on ambient until you prove other wise.  Faster in multi-thread and destroys Ryzen in single-thread.

I just play games on my 7700k, but that's what it was made for.  xD

Lastly, you have been removed from my annual Christmas card mail out for low blows.

Do it and you will be added back to my Christmas mail out.  lol.

Sorry to here about the board bricking man.  If you end up returning everything, just get a 5960x to tie you and your addictions over until Skylake-X.  If that sucker has Kaby Lake IPC or better, it's going to blow our minds.

Not to mention, you'll have a choice between a high speed/higher TDP 4 core and all of the 6, 8, and 10 core variants on the same socket!!

i am only returning the board, but there are no boards in stock in the uk. i also got confirmation that there wont be a x370 ocf until after x299 so that is sad.

yeah i dont think i'll be going near x299 they will be extremely expensive. i am more likely to get x99 again when x299 comes out :P i think £500 is my absolute max for a cpu and even then i wouldnt want to buy a new £500 cpu as it would loose value too fast. i just got the 1800X as it is a special occasion. if i had been sensible i would have been getting a crosshair vi and a 1700 none x in april or may used :P

Maximum on my air cooler. Scored higher with memory and cache pushed at 4.5 than at 4.625 with cache and memory set slower. I'll be benching my phase change tomorrow then back on my loop.
