ok people, i have updated all the scores (i i've missed anything or made a mistake just tell me  :P ). I have also started a single thread score board so people can run single thread tests.

nice one! what voltage did you have to put it at in the bios?

1.49V Core, but my mobo usually doesn't hit the entered Voltage. I've seen it run 1.42 when 1.45 was entered as well. Adusting the load line calibration will probably change that a bit.

thats not too bad at all. what board do you have? i needed 1.525v just to get 2 of my cores to run at 5ghz because my board is so bad :rolleyes: . the vrms were very very hot. i tried to do all 6 cores at 5ghz and it didn't go well, but after a cool down it worked again. i really need a better board  :lol:

I have an Asus P8Z68-V. Base Clock 100, Multip. 50, Vcore 1.49. Ram was stock @ 1600MHz. But I think I got lucky with this chip considering I didn't even have to give it 1.5V :D If I were you I'd get a better CPU instead of a better board ;)

I have an Asus P8Z68-V. Base Clock 100, Multip. 50, Vcore 1.49. Ram was stock @ 1600MHz. But I think I got lucky with this chip considering I didn't even have to give it 1.5V :D If I were you I'd get a better CPU instead of a better board ;)

tbh i'm will get a better cpu+mobo+ddr4 ram when it comes out. i'll be picking up a 2nd hand asus crosshair v formula at Christmas, just because i have a sempron that needs burning and i want do do some runs at 1.8v on this socket before i change socket B) .

Here is my score, 3930k at 4.3GHz, Cinebench is reporting it incorrectly though so I used the power gadget from intel to verify it. post-1765-0-38801500-1380983113.png

you might want to try that again because it seems like you were using 1/2 of your 4770k to do the test instead of all of them?  ;)  also what clocks are stock for your gpu? aslo boards updated

click on the "file" tab and select advanced benchmark... got it!

Hyper thread suxs in like 70% of all cases will hurt gpu performance. On intel chips  they are not real cores, only reason amd has a edge in some tests is because they are true cores even though they are weak. In my bench above I have hyper thread turned off for gpu test and left on for cpu test. Ya dig?

That's part of my thoughts too. Though I do very well understand what hyper threading is and what it does. My thoughts were more along the lines of how most things these days don't make use of enough threads/processes to make hyper threading or more than 4 cores useful. We are starting to get there it seems, or as said if you multitask a lot you may be there today.

 

For me personally it's just a fight between having awesome hardware and how much I need the hyper threading. Though I do have times where it is appreciated.

you need to go on file and advanced benchmark in the top left corner to run the single thread

I mostly bought mine since I do a lot of multitasking and video editing. That's were HT really shines. For gaming at the moment pretty much zero except for a very select group of games.

For me it's usually programming related. If I have 30 tabs open, and my code, and something intense running, it is nice to never have anything hang.
