Not quite as i can switch off NUMA for more ram speed and up the speed to about 4.2-4.3,this is a 24/7 OC.

Can score around 22 in the R13 version

Here's my score, running a fx 8320 and a Radeon hd 7950

213019Sanstitre2.png

you are running 8 core processor at 4.7 ghz and hd 7950 GPU and here is my results

8ad18478125e.jpg

731a99138046.jpg

i have seen in this forum many people who asks for advice about CPU to buy and almost everyone seggests 8320 or 8350 (they are the same just overclocked) and here you can see that 3770 at 4.3 ghz (quad core processor) beats 8320 at 4.7 ghz (an eight core processor) and your opengl average fps is as low as my gtz 660s because your processor is limiting that card very hard.  go here and https://linustechtips.com/main/forum/5-cpus-motherboards-and-memory/

and you can easily find that many sugestions are made to buy AMDs 8 core procesor and argument is that it is just better nothing else.

this bench utilizes every core cpu has and how do you think in games wich use 2 or 4 cores wich one will be better? intels quad core i series or AMDs 8 core?

Computer users fall into two groups:
those that do backups
those that have never had a hard drive fail.

No one cares what proc you have.....and you have 8 threads the same as he does, not 4.

This is a Cinebench thread, not an Intel is best derp thread

its a sandy not an ivy that i've got its a 2550k

Oh, I saw 3570k mentioned and assumed that was what you got. (Edit: and I would be suprised if you couldn't do 5GHz, I only don't try because I'm afraid of frying my motherboard, but if I had a good board it looks like I'd have little trouble getting there myself. Just promise not to kill this one too :P )

I think when my rig is knocking on 4 years old, I'll retire the 2500K. :P

I hope to do the same. Though unfortunately it depends a bit on where my fun money needs to go.

Um, for one you are comparing a roughly $300 cpu to a $160 cpu. Second many have proven that there is little appreciable difference in real games between a 8350 and an i5, never mind how this thread has proven that hyperthreading can harm gaming performance. Third, this is just one benchmark that honestly aside from e-peen doesn't mean snot to any of us unless we actually do 3D rendering regularly. Fourth, it is just not okay to tell someone they wasted their money.

If you want to do a proper analysis between both camps you should compare similarly priced products. The i5-3350p is $180, $20 more than the 8320, and the world record score on that chip is only 527cb: http://hwbot.org/submission/2433329_true_monkey_cinebench_r15_core_i5_3350p_527_cb .

If you can only afford a processor in that range I say that one of AMD's chips would be a very compelling buy.

My rig: 2600k(4.2 GHz) w/ Cooler Master hyper 212+, Gigabyte Z68-UD3H-B3, Powercolor 7870 xt(1100/1500) w/AIO mod,

8GB DDR3 1600, 120GB Kingston HyperX 3K SSD, 1TB Seagate, Antec earthwatts 430, NZXT H2

Verified max overclock, just for kicks: http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2609399

I'm quite happy with my actual rig, i can play every games i throw at it. It's good if your cpu performs better than mine i'm happy if my post have reassured you that intel can do better than a Fx 8320 with a 300$ CPU.

Even if you make it sounds like i completely wasted my money(or should have gone for intel) i still believe this cpu have an awesome Price/Performance ratio,in my case i just added a few bucks after selling my old phenom 965 to be able to afford it. In the end buying this cpu was a very smart move and i don't regret it one bit, whether you like it or not.

when testing your cpu

make sure you have closed all background programs

in the processes tab in task manager the only need processes are (for win7)

csrss.exe

dwm.exe

explorer.exe

winlogon.exe

you may want to run your video driver when benching your gpu.

what is your mem chips running at ?1600MHz?

no i am not telling that your choice was bad or you must have gone for intels cpu. i wrote that in this forum 4-5 man posted me that FX 8350 outperforms any 4 core i7 and my post was answer to it. i7 do better even at lower frequencies then that 8 core processor.

for me my CPU is better price/performance because i got it for only 200 $  :D
