I'm only scoring 2800 on my 5820k at the same frequency with 3GHz memory. What are your settings to get the chip to run that fast of memory. I couldn't get mine to work without BLCK overclocking.

CPU:

  • Core: 4500MHz (volts are high since I was planning a 4600 run but decided not too. Also a bit more volt can help for score)
    • Input volts: 1.95V.
  • Cache: 4000MHz (increasing cache beyond this has little gain imo)
  • Memory: 3200MHz (stock crappy timings)

Motherboard options:

  • VRM: Set it to "full send" mode. (Set current capability as high as goes and set switching frequency and temperature limits as high as you're comfortable with)
    • If you can get a fan for VRM, get one.
  • CPU cooler: Maximum fan speed

Program options:

  • set Cinebench to "Real-Time" mode. Gain a few cb there.
    • "off-screen" rendering had little benefit. Think it was a loss actually.

Nah, just left them stock. They're fixed voltages though. Just observed what they were in the BIOS and left them there.

:( this bench is gonna be a headache for the bot. Mainly cause HPET would need to be enabled and proven enabled.

Does this version rely on HPET?  I've run it with and without HPET and couldn't discern a difference.

Hmmmm, well the way I overclock is different than the traditional overclock.  I manipulate all core speeds while leaving single core to do its own thing (unless I'm using BCLK).  I actually rarely try to mess with single core overclocks so gimme a sec to work it out.

Here's my score - not a real O/C, it's just the way my machine runs 24/7 so it has to be stable.
Dual Platinum 8168 with all cores turbo boost and bclk at 102.9. 192GB of DDR4@2666. At least i've beaten their stupid baseline.
