seems like a fun device to use with my club activities in campus since we usually use a projector (in Monday gaming and in Wednesdays watching anime movie) in class and sometimes the projector will breakdown because campus facilities sucks

This thing would make a massive improvement over the old Sony LCD I'm using in the lounge at the moment, especially if it doesn't cost. Looks pretty damn cool, didn't even realize short range projectors were a thing.

This would be absolutely perfect for those movie nights that i set up with all my friends we could go out to a local area and find a nice wall and BAM movie night with the stars.

Looking at the Short throw projector reminded me of my unsated desire to create a outdoor cinema. Unfortunately, due to the trow length and awkward mounting points i would have to install I never managed to complete this idea. Now knowing that there is a easy, compact and high quality projector on the market I will be very interested in rebooting the idea. Paring this with a bluetooth soundbar would really complete the setup.

Cheers.

Excellent! I was just thinking about upgrading my room with a 100" projection screen doubling as a window blind and a ceiling mounted projector. The short-throw would be ideal, since I have like 1.5 meters of space between my ceiling lamp and window. Do want.

I really like the idea of having one of these to replace my main TV.

It gets around most of the wiring issues that you have will a conventional projector (mounting etc), but does not compromise image quality.

Color contrast at the end of video seems really bad, even at 60''. Is this just weird lighting/editing effect or is this how it looks for real?

Would love to get a better review to know if it's actually good compared to other projectos, because other than the contrast, I might consider buying it.

I think that this is such an innovative idea, and LG are really on to something here. I currently live in a rental, so a portable projector gets the thumbs up from me.

P.S. I loved the Project Backpack idea. It's given me inspiration for a cheap project...
