Graphics card

Jared121

any card will run games "just fine" depending on your resolution and desired graphics settings. (also depends on your definition of "just fine")

That card should run the game at 60+ fps at 1080p with high settings. But don't expect it to run well on higher resolutions with higher details.

When in doubt, re-format.

The rx 480 is kinda great for $200... Other than that? A used 290.

Don't buy a used 290. It was probably used for mining.

Maybe a used 970. I'd just go with the rx 480, honestly.

Why would you ever buy that over a 4GB 480? Which is way faster, not to mention the 380 is already faster than a 960

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Ya, especially factoring in DX12, and saving cash on a free-sync display

But really, the even better option is the 480, as it's basically as fast a 390 for $199 whenever it's in stock, and they just released a new driver to fix the PCI-e power draw issue.

Although waiting for after market cards with custom PCBs is always the best option, they should be out shortly

I agree with everyone here. a gtx 960 isnt the best card out right now. i would go for the r9 380 or rx 480

if you have a little more money to spend, go with a 1060 or crossfire 380s or 480s

for the sanity of our forums, please do not make another thread on GPU as we have already merged 21 threads on your asking of a 970, 980ti, rx480 and now 960.

you have had excellent solutions suggested, but continue to create more threads that will further confuse your issues.

this is bordering on SPAM.

we understand purchases can be difficult, but when you do this, it complicates the situation.

one thread about your needs, along with what your budget is, and build is currently and that should be enough.

this also goes to PSU threads as well.
