GTX 1060 leak (TAKE WITH A TRUCKLOAD OF SALT)

http://videocardz.com/61753/nvidia-geforce-gtx-1060-specifications-leaked-faster-than-rx-480

Interesting times for the GPU market.

Will this beat the RX480? yeah, probably, by a fat chance, given that this GPU will have the same Pascal efficiency and biblical clocks.

The biggest question though is the price....

Nvidia's MSRP and retail price has never been in the same price bracket, at least here in my country (Indonesia).

the X60 series GPU is always more expensive, and I don't think the 1060 will change any of that. Hell, the 4gb 960 is almost $70 more expensive than the 380x here -_-

(Do please read the third graph carefully)

I wonder how will this thing perform on recent DX12 titles though, namely the new Xbox One ports.

The RX480 is already faster in Forza than the 980 :/

My wallet have an AMD fetish lol

I bought the RX480 knowing that it'll cost a lot cheaper than the 1060. Even if they are priced at the same MSRP, Nvidia cards will always cost more in retail (In Indonesia)

Ah, classic marketing tactics in the third slide. Making the GTX 1060 look two times faster visually when it's allegedly only 15% more powerful.

At this stage, I don't see the GTX 1060 being slower than the RX 480 and more inclined to say it's faster with much better energy efficiency. The crucial bit here is the pricing.

EDIT: Relevant

NVIDIA will not undercut AMD and they also will not price it under 970, the 1060 shall go in the gap the 980 once was with similar performance at around 300 quid because that gives NVIDIA a good lineup as 970 and 960 shall remain for a few more months which fill the 220GBP and 150GBP gaps.

If I remember anything that @Enderman taught from a thread back a while ago where people were discussing AMD's stock value increasing, it's that those graphs are bullshit.

@gilang01 Add a disclaimer to remind people to look at the numbers on the chart before we have idiots running their head off about it being AMD's 11th hour.
