BF4 BETA Benchmarks Released, AMD Takes CPU Performance Crown.

GPU performance is exactly where I expected it to be, 7970Ghz & 770 are neck & neck, 7970 & 680 are neck & neck.
Then you have a cluster of 670, 7950, 760 & 660 Ti where performance is pretty much the same.
7870 is ahead of the 660 in the tests, older generations are really struggling.

On the CPU side we see the eight core AMD CPUs doing really well, The 8350 matching the 2600K & outperforming the 2500K, the 8150 is doing well too.
I expect more upcoming games to love the FX 8350 due to the new consoles.

Performance seems really fantastic across the board, optimized for all GPUs & CPUs, memory usage however is quite high.
You'll want 3GB.

Seems pretty cpu and gpu intensive. Can't wait to test my 7950 (glad that I got a 3gb card) and my 4670K with BF4  on October 4. Hope they will optimize it to give me better frames.

Not at all, the performance is very very different from the ALPHA version.

What are your system specs ?

Overclocking your CPU will directly affect your performance numbers.

Could be different settings, different levels, different hardware, clock and memory speeds on CPU, RAM and the graphics card could be different. So many variables to be able to say with confidence that those results are wrong based on your own testing.

Even with the modern sub $200 you will want to lower the settings, the older cards are barely putting out 30 frames a second, you might need to take the settings to medium or even low to play smoothly.

this is a beta. Its not optimized at all, you shouldnt really care out these scores

Plus, AMD & Nvidia already released driver updates for the game.

what snickerzz said, it's beta, nowhere near finished and still being tested+ drivers are going to be made with better performance improvements

 

Also, to what you just said above, no. Nvidia still releases driver updates that improve game performance from games 6 months old all the time, there will be more driver updates that will result in better performance

those are beta drivers and the nvidia driver only added an sli profile and improved the ambient occlusion in bf4

Like I said, I'm not complaining, performance boosts from the Alpha to the Beta are already fantastic.
Don't expect any miracles with patches or drivers, the game seems to be well polished already.

Not exactly, I run my game of a Sandy bridge i5, with the same RAM, and a 6850 on Ultra, and it defiantly doesn't run at 17 FPS, from what fraps gives me, I sit around the 26 mark, which is much more playable than the stated 17 FPS.

Non K CPU, can't overclock anyhow. And IDK how those benches are ran, since there's only 1 map playable atm.

Overclocking applies to the graphics card as well, you're probably looking at the maximum FPS, not counting the massive dips, especially when the server is full and quite hectic.
