Digital trends posted a chart that shows the specs of the new 1080Ti and Titan cards coming out alongside the 1070 1080 and new specs for a 1060. 

 

Do you guys think this is legit or just some bogus clickbaity shit.

Pretty sure this is fake. That vram is ridiculous...

I agree, but 12GB was redic a year ago.

Assuming the Titan has the correct specs.... CUDA core count and clock speeds for the 1080 ti would be really weird. Like, REALLY weird.

 

I call it fake.

Yeah thats what I was thinking, over 400 less than the Titan is a little much. Maybe they are going to charge more than 1k for the Titan this time around though. I mean 24GB of DDR5x seems pricey.

I could see Nvidia going with a lower stock clock speed to give the illusion of higher overclocking.

GTX 1060 should be based on a smaller die - GP106 and I guess it will have fewer ROPs (probably 32).

I figured it had to be a thermal issue. The 1080 already has thermal problems with 2560 cores.

I believe I've heard about this before. It was just a rumor then, but I've heard of the 10 series Titan having 24gb.  

 

It makes since, the 9 series cards had 70 - 4 80 - 4  80ti - 6  Titan - 12. 

The 70 and 80's have a third vram as the Titan, The Ti had half of the titan. So the amount of Vram makes sense. Although what happened when the 1070 and 80 came out. It was hard to believe the specs. It would be possible that's it's legit or just slightly over what the specs are going to be.

I thought new Titan and 1080ti were meant to have HBM 2?

They are using HBM2 and you can only have up to 16gb with it. It is fake

I've seen this a very long time ago, at the time the hype for 1080 was on
i even remember some values on the 1080 or 1070 (can't really remember) was wrong
pretty sure it's fake

The die sizes are different... so they seem fake to me. Why would they be larger again?

 

The Vram makes sense believe it or not but the die size to me doesn't.

Maybe they needed to increase the die size for temperature?

Name me a time they made the die bigger for the best new GPU?

 

As far as I know, they don't change the die size back. Pascal is Pascal.....

 

"The GP100 GPU is comprised of  3840 CUDA cores, 240 texture units and a 4096bit memory interface, arranged in eight 512bit segments." The Tesla P100.

 

This was the top chip. Everything else cut down from this. HBM2 was shown on this chip.

I think it seems reasonable. It probably is fake but the specs they show look accurate IMO. I'm more interested in the pricing of the 1080 Ti. I think it's gonna be $700 MSRP and maybe $800 for the FE. What do you guys think the pricing is gonna be?

Given the lack of competition from AMD, I think the Ti is gonna go for $800 MSRP, $900 for the FE.

I really hope not. I'm so interested in the 1080 Ti. it's going to be the first real 4k video card. C'mon AMD fight back! Hopefully AMD does release something cheaper so Nvidia has no choice but to drop the price.
