How to enable lightboost

Rhett Quigley

This site  http://www.blurbusters.com/zero-motion-blur/lightboost/  says that you can use lightboost on amd by running ToastyX, I did what they say "easy lightboost via toastyx strobelight app" and nothing happens. I reboot my pc and then run the strobelight program and it just sits there "initializing display".

Is it because my freesync monitor (asus mg248q) through displayport is making it unable to use both freesync and lightboost at the same time? I assume freesync is automatically on through the displayport.

So the only way to disable freesync is to not use a displayport?

please u more detail, and look up the manual for ur display

light boost can also be called: blur reduction, ULMB ect

Ok, i figured it out, i had to click the anolog stick on the side of the monitor. The freesync was already off, I turned it on and i see no difference on a 144hz monitor. Is freesync pointless at 144hz? the only difference is maybe the slightest input lag.

freesync gives a smoother experience without the lag or tearing of V-Sync, didnt u want to try to enable lightboost?

Yes, but im saying that freesync offers zero visible benefit at 144hz.
