Never gonna happen, I won't try kill my GPU. When I run those drivers back in the day I had driver crashes all the time.

Hey forum so as I'm sure most of you know the bf4 beta was JUST released and I stayed up and played a match and noticed 2 things.

1. Whenever you look around it will stutter, I'm pretty sure this is due to the lack of gpu optimization.

2. Your CPU load when playing will be at around 95% load.

So what I'm wondering is, first of all, this isn't only me who's having this right? Most of the guys in chat were saying this was the case also. And is the cause driver unoptimizations or something else? Thanks forum.

Battlefield has always sues a ton of cpu power its not really unoptimized its just a heavy game, also its beta.

I am not experiencing the issues you have there OP. I have had no lag and no crashes while playing the game. Maybe it is your internet?

Yes. Betas are less optimized as it's new code running. It's generally much less optimized than later on when it reaches its public release state.

Well it only uses about 60-80% of my 780 but I still hold 60+ on a 64 man server with around 50ppl. I don't expect much for optimization being its a beta and such.

I'm having FPS issues aswell, sigh thought it would be optimized for AMD hardware and can't even get 60fps on lowest settings.  -_-

can't see why you are getting that kind of performance, my 7950 at 1440p is getting around 30-50 fps on ultra with occasional dips below 30 fps

With Battlefield series beta version is usually 1-2 months older build than ie. release version. Reason that it's stable for huge amount of clients(players). Release version seems better than beta since its newer stable build. So if you have wondered how they are going to get updates to release when time between beta and release is 2 weeks. Usually updates and fixes found during beta come few weeks after release.

I'm running 4770K stock, usage max 60%, 560Ti OC and getting 50-65 fps with low-med settings. Bit lag but its still more playable than BF3 beta was (or BC2 beta). Only when I start to stream it starts to lag even with all low.

Looks better, sharper, clearer in AUTO then ULTRA for me.

Ultra kills my 3570k and 560.

SweetFX should deal with the AA without having to do it in game.

I heard people on VOIP also.

how much fps do you get with your card? Cause I have 560 too...

If you have a AMD X6 or FX6100 diable 3 of the cores it seems to work.

If you have a Octacore like a AMD FX8350 disble 4 of the cores.

ALSO

There seems to be a problem with Intel Hyper Threading Tech on the Intel Cpu's.

ALSO

Nvidia GPU try downloading the latest driver(BETA DRIVER)

Latest beta driver killed the performance for my card, and also for friends card... dropped the performance from 50 to -10fps with horrible stutters.

I'm getting 60fps with high/ultra on 5760*1200 resolution on a 3820, 32gb ram and 2 7970's. Its running really smooth for me bar the textures looking really crap but i'm sure they are improved in the final release.

Constant 60fps on medium/high settings with an 8350 stock speeds 8 gigs ram and a gtx 570, running latest beta drivers.

My friend has a i5 2500k overclocked to 4.5ghz and he is having a ton of stuttering problems, also weirdly enough his card (GTX 770) ran the game like garbage on the latest beta drivers while my 570 improved greatly, what gives?

Yeah he's running a solid 70 avg then it just spikes really low. But I have faith that these problems are going be fixed for people.

For everybody that uses a 2GB Nvidia card and wants to run the game maxed out with AA.
Just turn MSAA off and FXAA on Low and use 1440p Downsampling instead the result will be even better and you won't run out of Vram.

For the People that don't know what Downsampling is or how to set it up here an Tutorial:

Did they totally f*ck NVidia while optimizing the game? I don't know what frames do AMD guys get, but I think that 10-20FPS while being shot at (low settings) is very low for my GTX660, that GPU is actually RECOMMENDED by the devs so I don't understand this. In normal tank gameplay I get 40-50FPS, but once something explodes I get a drop to 10-20FPS aswell.

IT'S BETA ofc it will be poorly optimised
