Ddos Attack on Youtube?

Apparently Youtube is having some issues and I was wondering if that could be due to an attack on them. The timing seems a bit odd concidering the highly controversial video series "Proud to be".
What do you think? Would love to hear the opinions of people that know much mire than I do about the topic (=

They would often have to DDoS multiple servers and IPs, as Google has multiple datacenters in every continent to keep YouTube a smooth and nice experience for everyone around the world. Would be some serious crap. This is the same reason people have never been able to take Steam down for a large amount of time, as they have login/download servers across the world.

idk

YouTube has been working perfectly fine for me, but there are reports of some users not being able to access YouTube due to it having issues and being down. Although it is possible for the issue to have been a DDOS attack, there needs to be a lot of "zombie computers" and heavy flood of data in order to take down a giant like YouTube, which Google runs the datacenters.

I got this message from YouTube a few months ago. Seems strange. (Look at attachment)

Did I help you with your problem? If so, give my comment a like and even mark it as the solution!

It can't be DDoSed. At first I thought it was an issue with a local CDN, but now after everyone is complaining about it, it might just be some platform update.

No server can have a 24/7 uptime. :D

I think somebody DDOSed the powerline to my house this morning. Shits crazy. Power went out for like 2 seconds, and then came back on like nothing happened.

Damn you, powerline hackers!

If it is so hard to bring down youtube on purpose so to speak due to the multiple servers and so on what would cause to have issues on its own?

my youtube has been crazy slow today so I might buy that a certain area is being attached by a DDOS

Could be a hardware issue somewhere in the network, a cut cable, a bad update/upgrade; basically something/someone on their end is probably shitting the bed.

For the past 48-72 hours, I have noticed that a video I click on takes around 15-20 seconds to start.  That is not normal.  It is just a black screen at 0:00.  It is like it is loading or something.

It might be something on my end.  IDK.
