25" 1440p monitor with GTX 1080 or 27" 144Hz with a 1070

Rhett Quigley

Should I keep my smallish 25inch 1440p monitor and buy a gtx 1080, OR, sell the monitor for ultra butter 144hz and a get a gtx 1070? Sell the monitor (G257hu) for $180 profit and buy a 27inch 1080p 144hz monitor and a 1070?

I have edited your title to be more clear. The previous one was not helpful.

27" at 1080p is not very pretty. You can very clearly see the pixels, in fact I would instead suggest a 24" 1080p 144Hz panel (that's what I have and I'm upgrading to a 1070 soon). If you can, I'd get a 27" 1440p panel along with a 1080, or the 1070 (as both are great at 1440p).
