Indian Customers hitting hard on NVIDIA for its insane pricing of 1080 Graphics card

Thanks Linus and the team for including this topic in last The WAN Show.

You kept my 1st request.... its a real honor for me.

Hope Nvidia, Zotac, MSI, Gigabyte will learn from it.

Thanks a lot.

that's not how this works, your post has to get some following. My post was featured on a Wan show because everyone was talking about it.

They kept my request :)

This is happening because of idiot fanboys and will continue to happen because of idiot fanboys.

7970 was better than 680, yet 680 sold 40% more. Ever since then the pattern repeats.

The church will take what the congregation will pay. 10 years from now thousands of people will be lining up a week in advance at the brick and mortar Nvidia™ - Think Indifferent store to buy the GTX 1580 for $4000 before they even sniff a benchmark.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

since the age of 7970, AMD went down though, they just need a good push.

It's obviously going to be 5-15% more expensive here in India

nope. more than that. A R9 390x is already 20% higher than USD price. Not to mention that AMD cards are cheaper than Nvidia cards in US also they are vice versa here.

What you guys were expecting ?  It was supposed to be averaging at 700$. After taxes and low margins on products and the fact that dealers know someone who'll but a 1080 is either loaded or is very motivated to put a loooot of money on it, well they higher the price a bit.

Blame the buyers, not the retailers...
