o: that would be cool, but if it ever gets implemented I doubt they'd give the badge retroactively (unless they set up some sort of request form)

Would probably be really hard to go back and watch every WAN show to see who was mentioned, or if people can submit that they want it because they were mentioned and have to submit in what WAN show where they were mentioned.. It would probably take a long time to go through it all.

And overall seems pointless to me IMO. I actually thought this thread would be a suggestion for the side WAN show date/time thing and you wanted a logo there..

Well at that point they should add a badge for people who appeared in one way or another on an LTT/Techquickie video.. Or a badge for the CSF patrons (weird they don't have a badge for that already..)

I get the patreon badge but almost no one other than LMG is in most LTT or techquickie vids

If that is stupid, how would you define the WAN show badge? If their name is mentioned? If their post/thread is shown? If they are called out as the OP of a thread?

If you chose the first one, that's gonna be kinda difficult to manage as we have a user "z97" and a user "6700K" on this forum. If those products are mentioned, it obviously shouldn't count, but their name is said.. So..

I don't see point in this. When they give credit for news posts, isn't that what most people who post to TN&N are after? Do they really need to add few more cm to their e-penis? Badges should be something you need to work for. Not something extra after you have already received mention on WAN Show.

 

I have had my name (real, not nickname) butchered Linus for Office Builder campaign. Thats enough. And Luke has mentioned me few times in the past in afterparty.

That would be far, far more effort than it's worth. Patreon badge, I would be all for, and will suggest, but a badge any time you are mentioned on the WAN show would just not be practical - all the badges would have to be given out by hand, and it would be a better use of people's time doing other things.
