Price drops of graphics card

I heard that the price of graphics cards are gonna drop soon due to the release of the GTX 1080,when is it gonna drop

its already going down, tho the real drop on the used market is going to be when Polaris and the 1070 drop because thats what the "avrage" consumer can afford

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

It is not easy to tell, however recently a gtx 970 was selling for about $230 US

were probably seeing a "paper release" at compurtex so in a few months probably, maby just one or two :)

I remember seeing a 980 (non ti) for $79 (though it was probably a pricing error)

 

In any case the prices have gone back up now.
