Age of Mythology extremly slow only on LAN

Good night everyone, I'm trying to play Age of Mythology on LAN with a friend, but it's barely playable on LAN after the Tale of The Dragon has been released.

Single player is fine, but LAN is laggy AF, we've tried with three different computers and none of them ever had issues running AOM

The 3 rigs are pretty beefy, and run smoothly on Single Player mode.

Things that I know it's NOT:

Slow internet
    It's LAN, with gigabit connection, every other games runs perfectly on LAN.

Slow Computers
    Again... they are pretty high performance, and can handle AOM with no issues.

Online P2P connection
    Many people have said that "the game only runs as fast as the slowest link in the chain" but the slowest PC, is WAY faster than the game is running. (Also, it's lan, not online)

Mods/Stuff like that
    We took every mod out, deleted the game and downloaded it again. Multiple times.

Hardware incompatibility
     We have tested AMD+AMD, AMD + Nvidia, Intel + Nvidia. Also, all drivers up to date.


What I think might be the reason:

• The new gods / units / maps aren't properly handled on the multiplayer.

• Skybox f****d something up during the update for the expansion.

• Giant map might be buggy (Will test it soon)

• ??????? (Suggestions)



To the info I've gathered:

• The game will lag even if you host lan and have only AI players. 

• If you play on classic Maps with Chinese gods, the game will lag

• (Apparently) if you are on classic map, with only classic gods, game runs mostly fine (you have a lag spike every now and then)

• The lag is ONLY in multiplayer, on single player is fine.


What we'll be testing in the next few hours:

• Playing on Tale of The Dragon maps with classic gods

• Playing with ToTD DLC completely disabled

• Playing different map sizes. (Maybe Giant is causing the lag, even though SP is fine)

• ??????? (Suggestions)

Oh yeah, firewall is disabled on both rigs. I take that as an obligatory thing, so didn't even think of mentioning it. 

EDIT: Still, it shouldn't affect playing alone with bots, just for being on LAN.

Tested with only classic gods, on classic map, with large map. all running pretty smoothly, a HUGE lag right at the beggining, but after 5 seconds it goes away and it's pretty much smooth gaming.

The fault seems to be something to do with ToTD.
